Positive: The natural hot spring bath (onsen) was excellent and the food served for breakfast was very nice.

Negative: We found the futons very uncomfortable and as a result got very little sleep. This was compounded by stomping noises coming from the room above us early in the morning. Whilst breakfast was good it has to be preordered and is served between 8am-8.30am. Hot water is provided in rooms but nothing else, ie cups, tea, etc

Negative: Carrying the luggage up n down the stairs as there was no lift. But it did not subtract from the good experience we had

Positive: Great attention to detail for a great price. Family run business with very cute service

Negative: Futon definitely not for overweight westerners (my case). They did add a second one to help without me even asking. Great service but wouldnt recommend if you have a bad back
